Are gay dating apps safe

Ratings Reviews It would be ideal to see more improvements with the site as far as certain glitches that have been an issue since I used this app before other dating apps even birthed. (Grindr) what about some different color than Halloween? Why is the story feature different from mobile to desktop view. Why is it so hard to have a shirtless photo not be considered nudity. If I was adam I would say you are just neck deep in technical errors of having the adams Apple. Thanks for the app. Thanks for protecting us from all the people who prey on this app to manipulate, terrorize and extort. Thank you adam for supporting the LGBTQ in such a fashion. Hope your happy with profit and disregard investing such profit back into the site. This application had been around since Manhunt and if Im not mistaken still looks just like what it did 10 years ago The app is simple, easy to use, with lots of features available without having to pay for premium. Its one of the better dating apps Ive used as far as design and functionality is concerned. However, after having the app for a few days, I became acutely aware of bots posing as users in attempts to obtain personal information, as well as people using the app in hopes of manipulating users for information as well as money. I only had the app for a week and even in that short amount of time I had 4 such profiles contact me. How to identify a bot: 1. Basic, vague answers 2. Awkward speech that feels off or doesnt fit 3. Ignoring more complex questions 4. Asking to chat on another platform to keep in touch, especially if it feels like a weird choice. (One bot wanted me to exchange emails with them) How to identify a scammer: 1. They tend to target people looking for loveLTRs, since people looking for love can be more easily manipulated. 2. They will almost always ask what you do for work at the beginning of the conversation, like 2-4 messages in, in order to ascertain whether you have money. 3. They will either be very far away, or claim to be very far away, so you cant meet in person 4. They will ask, and then insist, on continuing your chat on another chat platform, like google chat. Im a discreet guy and I dont want any email notifications telling me I received a message. I tried to unsubscribe but it told me I had to be a pro member. Hahaha these companies are getting demanding payment to stop receiving emails. Immediately deleted my account and uninstalled. Like I said Im discreet and I dont messages in my inbox, plus theres barely anyone near me that uses this app anyways, Im still laughing because this app really thinks their popular enough to demand payment for a basic feature thats free. Plus its your email we should be able to unsubscribe. You do realize people can block your email domain right? What a smart way to ensure customers leave however designed that feature kudos to you cause now Im definitely not going to pay for anything from this app. Ill just stick to the actual relevant apps that people actually use. Im not going to deal with that. If I cant turn off notifications for when someone messages me then I dont want it. Bye. Theres way better apps and I mean 50x better. Been on here for 3 days and only got 1 message. Other apps I log in and will get 30 messages in an hour. Just keep that in mind. Hard to navigate, hard to delete profile, full of trolls and hackers, security on site is extremely poor. Fake profiles found city to next city. Their store offers lost leaders to get you to shop in limited quanites, they run out of offered item, usually the only item I want. They would be better off not offering deals, just sell the items honestly. Most items can be purchased on the BIG site named after a river in Brazil, free shipping most of the time, better quality. Getting notifcations to stop is almost impossible, plus is someone reports you as spam or fake they block your whole account, but do not allow you to stop notifcations when you do not want to use the site. Took me three hours to figure out how to end email notifacations on a block profile which should not be. Update: Sexplotation scams: DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PHONE NUMBER TO ANYONE on this site and never complete the profile information, its best not to use this site at all. I have given this site at least 3 tries and each time got worse in people trying to scam me. If you are in the closet, married, or just an extremely private person, DO NOT USE THIS SITE! It is not stable. I think it has something to do with being able to toggle (n)sfw and also being useable through your app and the webpage. This makes 4 versions of a platform that can become insecure and unstable (always log out when you switch apps). Compared to other platforms Adam4adam seems to be the least deceitful. That is not to say it is free of big time scammer rings, so exercise caution, but irl encounters with guys is sure to happen unlike grind and sniff. The premium is worth it so long as they do not begin to price hike (like grind). You still need to delete the app every few days and not redownload for at least a week if you intend on using the app on a public space (private or not) network, because it will get corrupt. You have to remove anonymity settings and be 100locate-able by the platform otherwise you can not talk to users and you will be dropped in a lake in the middle of Kansas. Keep it real my dudes. Quite often the distance will be really far and the profile will say that theyre looking for a relationship. Maybe some people like that stuff. But chatting with one or two of these you got to realize they are just looking for money and your private information. They often have a distance of over 5000 miles away thats why I say foreign profiles. Also the neighborhoods got removed in San FranciscoFor our profiles so you just have a couple of locations in San Francisco before you have the neighborhoods. And I dont know sometimes when logging in at a distance for my location can be calculated correctly So Ill be in San Francisco looking at profiles that say 1 mile away but I think they now are further away I dont know just check it out Many (most?) accounts on here are fake with pics of models. Are usually far away with explanations that they are in military serving overseas (think many are actually in Africa running scams). All looking for love and ltr. They immediately try to get your name and very quickly move conversation offline where they continue con which includes falling in love quickly and eventually getting things like funds, iTunes cards or more info on you. I suspect multiple fake accounts are run by same people. I understand may be difficult to prevent but what frustrates me is that after I send multiple feedbacks nothing is ever done. I was told once that a member was suspended and I should block account but I did not block and so I could see his account remained active. I shrugged off at first but was disappointed to learn there are many gullible lonely guys who do fall for these scams. A4A is more interested in artificially high number of accounts than a site for real men to safely connect on. Adam 4 Adam is basically another version of Grindr, same app, different name design. The gay community on these apps is superficial, obnoxious, vapid, insincere and shallow much like the gay community in general. To add insult to injury, neither apps take into account the fact that maybe, just maybe, there are blind people in this comunity who would like to take part in it to find love. But seeing as this community is so shallow I guess blind people arent worthy enough of being in the club right? By the way, it is against the law to make an app inaccessible knowingly as that is discrimination and a violation of the ADA. The constant ads are annoying as well. Even when I try the VIP trial for 7 days the ads still dont go away. Honestly Im not sure what app to recommend as most the apps Ive tried are not blind-friendly. Okcupid had potential but it too went picture and gif based and became inaccessible for the blind. At one point Okcupid was the most accessible dating app out there but now theyve become just as bad. I pay the VIPPro ad service in order to advertise my profession as a Certified Massage Therapist. However the website and the Ap version of A4A doesnt not support advertising of Therapeutic CMTs or LMTs. But they do allow for promoting Masseurs (and most other professions) thereby implying these professionals give sexual Sevices for exchange of money. When I try to clarify that I am a therapeutic CMT in the body of my profile or in the Profession field my text is removed stating that I can not list my profession there. However I see Masseur along with every other profession, including Accountants, Doctors etc naming there profession. It is quite obvious Adam4Adam is discriminating against Therapeutic CMTs and LMTs and trying to box my profession in with Masseurs. Not that I have any problem with Masseurs and other sex workers, the fact of the matter Therapeutic CMTs are not able to promote themselves here and not Masseurs!!! Im disappointed with Adam4Adams service, there discrimination against my profession and them implying that therapeutic therapists are the same as masseurs. This app runs by some very strict photo standards. I have a picture of myself in a bar and that keeps getting rejected because you can see someones tiny face somewhere in the background. Ive uploaded the same picture on just about every other dating app and have never had an issue until now. Their verification process also takes too long, which makes adding new pictures frequently a hassle. The app even has issues letting me add certain things like my weight and its very buggy in general. I downloaded it because it had decent reviews so I figured it was worth a shot. However I will be deleting it and its not worth the monthly fee. Its also issues like these that make most guys stick to Grindr, not as buggy in my experience but full of bots. I suppose all of these apps just have certain trade offs that you have to be willing to put up with in order to find someone online and this one is no different.
